On top of that, this decent intrepid adventure features one of the most creative action sequences represented in a film, a stunt that Peter Jackson would try to replicate in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013), but certainly not as mindblowing. Ten years later, a new attempt has been done to cross visual boundaries and achieve new levels of realism. Of course I personally prefer the original sources of Tintin entertainment, but it is always fair to evaluate all readaptations as standalone project, and this one delivers some goods.īe it as it may, a new level of animation seems to be reached each new decade, since Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within (2001). On the contrary, it tried to adopt the story to the demands of the 21st Century with a visual spectacle and a high attention to detail and physics. We are very thankful that this modern reimagining was never adapted in a live-action fashion.
